Synthetic Fiber

Synthetic fibers, also called man-made fibers, are created by people using chemical processes, unlike natural fibers that come directly from living organisms. Making synthetic fibers involves a method called polymerization, where small building blocks (monomers) are combined to form a long chain or polymer.

In the process of making viscose, which is a type of synthetic fiber, graphite equipment is used because of the corrosive nature of sulfuric acids and their derivatives.

Shell and tubes are preferred equipment for the process of spin bath.
