Hydrobromic Acid

Graphite is not commonly used in processes involving hydrobromic acid because it tends to corrode, especially with phenolic resin impregnated graphite provided by most competitors. The maximum temperature for phenolic resin is around 75°C on average.

However, GT has developed GT FLON, which can endure much higher temperatures and concentrations, even up to 100% at 200°C. If needed, corrosion tests or samples for testing can be arranged upon request.
