Phosphoric acid

Phosphoric acid is a friend of graphite material.
Graphite is fully corrosion resistant over the whole range of temperatures and concentration.

Our grade GT KELITE+ with phenolic resin bring reliability for processes using phosphoric acid.

Recently many new applications required high concentration phosphoric acid (>80%) which process of production work at temperature at to 400degC.

Our grades GT FLON and GT CARB+ are perfectly adapted to such conditions.

Our special design of equipment with high turbulence GT DISC and GT PLATE allow low footprint with such media.

Unlike most metallic grades, graphite is not sensitive to pollution of media with fluorides or other compounds. Most corrosion chart consider “Clean” media. Only 50ppm in fluorides in phosphoric acid will corrode tantalum and other alloys.
Graphite is the best choices for composition with variable concentration and unwanted pollutions.

At high concentration and temperature, glass, exotic metals failed to resit corrosion. Graphite is a good choice for such applications.

Phosphate fertilizer application use many graphite equipment because phosphate rocks contains variable concentration of fluorides and other pollutants. Most metals cannot withstand such compositions.
